BIG DAY BILLS

She also has alternatives for a few big-budget items

ONE wedding pro wants to help save you from both stress and overspending on your big day.

The best part is that none of the wedding cutbacks are noticeable.

If you're on a budget but still want an elegant bash, Cassie (@weddingprocass) has shared tips in a viral video for saving dough on things that "literally people will not care" if you have or not.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR

You'll want to do yourself a big favor by saving on one item in particular - party favors.

These are the most commonly left behind items that often end up "in the trash."

Some exceptions could be an edible treat, but either way, no need to rack up a big bill over a small trinket on your big day.

Some of her fans shared their own favorable ideas.

"My favors were mini jars of Hershey kisses. Hardly any were left behind," said one follower.

"We are doing small jars of un-popped popcorn. We thought everyone loves popcorn," said another viewer.

"We are doing sparklers as favors to use at the end of the night for photos! It’s going to be so cute," another chimed in.

DEPROGRAM

Favors are not the only thing you can be frugal about.

Ceremony programs might hold meaning for you, but your guests probably won't care about them.

I planned a gorgeous wedding on the cheap - my dress & venue were free, I had Morrisons flowers & my bridesmaids wore £10 Shein frocks

A one-minute glance most likely isn't worth the money.

Instead, you can use the cash you saved on something more important.

CUT IT OUT

Forget having your cake and eating it too - cut it out altogether.

As long as your guests are offered something sweet, you can skip the costly multi-tiered cake.

Instead, opt for a fake cake and just a small edible cake if you wish.

Alternatively, you can get another type of dessert, or no cake at all.

Chances are, most of that big cake will be wasted anyway.

Some people were more than pleased with other wedding day dessert choices.

"We’re having an ice cream truck come and our guests can get whatever they want," said one follower.

"A family friend did cupcakes for her wedding - she had carrot cake, red velvet cake, and cheesecake - loved it!" said another viewer.

FAKE IT TO MONEY MAKE IT

You can also fake another mind-boggling wedding cost - flowers.

No need to go "into debt" over fancy floral arrangements.

Going flowerless is also an option - after all, it's your special affair.

Even one bridal bouquet is enough if you prefer.

One fan had her own suggestion.

"Sola wooden flowers! They are awesome!" she said.

OFF THE LIST

Cutting down on the guest list can also cut costs.

Forget inviting acquaintances or people you don't have regular contact with.

Sticking with close friends and family members will keep your event more intimate and affordable.

Some people couldn't agree more with this tip.

"My guest list is going to be small. I'm not paying for anyone I don’t like no matter who they are," said one follower.

SAVE YOUR WAY

Many people had even more tricks up their money-saving sleeves.

"Haven’t looked at all the comments but we did online RSVP. Saved a ton on money/stamps, and everyone has to write their first names, so no blank RSVPs," said one follower.

"Okay another one - unnecessary decor! Like random photos of you and your partner everywhere! They are cute but cost extra money and time!" said another viewer.

Even more savvy savers weighed in.

"I spent $500 on my wedding and that included my dress!" said one watcher.

"It's your wedding, you can skip anything you'd like," said another viewer.

There are also additional ways to save including choosing certain days of the week to host your wedding.

Speaking with Brides, Reese Rowe of Herban Feast Catering and Events explained that holding a Sunday wedding can save $4,000 in venue fees.
